Cocktails and Conversations: SAVAS
After a two year hiatus, we can't begin to tell you how excited we were to host a gathering for you all. When we first came across Savannah's business years ago, we immediately fell in love with her work. Fast forward to 2021 - when we actually talked to Savannah about hosting an event in her workspace, we jumped at the chance and knew that you would fall in love like we did. Not only is her work a cut above the rest (pun kind-of intended), but the space, decor, and vibes are all amazing.
At the event, guests enjoyed great conversation, bourbon, specialty popcorn from Kinimi Kitchen, and, of course, Sour Patch Kids. We also gave each attendee a set of postcards designed by Wes Webb. We want you to use these for not only art, but to connect with others. Because we have been apart for so long, we encourage you take a little time to write, address, and send a postcard to a friend, family member, or someone you've lost touch with. They'll appreciate it, just as you would.
We also heard from Manny about the origins of The Commonwealth, from Savannah about her work and experience (more on that later), and heard from Dominic Rota - a Patterson Intellectual Property Law representative about the services they offer and why they were excited to partner with The Commonwealth for this event.
But, what we were most excited about was the opportunity to bring the community together again. We truly believe that the value of this group is the collective. This was a shining example of this community not only coming together, but it reminded us that this work and effort is vastly important to you all. Thank you for reminding us of that.
